Travel News

Air travel, for the most part, has been unaffected by the federal government’s partial shutdown. That being said, please be aware that airport security checkpoints may have excessive wait time. Therefore, we recommend early arrival times at airports to accommodate possible delays in clearing security.

Be aware of your flight status prior to departure. As situations change, the MSU Travel Office will send out further messaging.

The 2019 mileage rate of reimbursement is 58 cents per mile.

Our travel/research advance users will now receive their advance electronically. Information is available on Travel at State and MBP, Section 61 - Cash Advances: Travel & Research Participants. This does not apply to operational and event advances.

For MSU Employees, Grand Traverse Resort is offering a 20% discount on prevailing rates on Resort Hotel & Tower accommodations; 15% off in Spa Grand Traverse. For room reservations, call 800-748-0303 PROMO CODE: XMSU, or book online at http://grandtraverseresort.com/promocode?promocode=XMSU.
