How to make a reservation?
When you log back onto Trip Manager, it goes directly into Airline reservations. Select your desired cities, travel dates and times. Cities can be entered either by city name or by airport code; the program is set up to default to LAN (Lansing) as its departure city. Click on "Search for Flights".
Select your desired flights and click on "Reserve" you have just made an airline reservation. Trip Manager will now lead you thru Car and Hotel Reservations. Your airline reservation is now being displayed in the lower left corner of the web page.
Trip Manager gives each trip a unique name based upon the current date and time. This can be confusing and should be changed. To do so, click on "Change Trip Name" and give the trip a new name such as: Chicago Conference - May 10.
How to Change or Cancel an Existing Reservation?
After logging onto Trip Manager, Go to "View Itineraries" and click on All Itineraries. This is located in the shaded column on the Lower left hand side of the web page. Select the trip by name then either modify or cancel your itinerary.
Once Anderson Travel has issued your airline ticket you will be locked out of changing or canceling your airline reservation. Additional changes to the reservation can only be made by contacting Anderson Travel.
How do I tell Anderson to issue an airline ticket?
You are working with live airline availability. When you click on the button that says "Reserve" you have made a reservation which has been sent to Anderson Travel for review. You have not instructed Anderson Travel to issue the airline ticket. In order to do so, go to "View Itineraries" and click on your trip name. Select the form of payment and click on "Purchase Ticket". (Please note booking multiple itineraries for the same trip, or canceling and re-booking the same itinerary more than one time is termed "Churning" by the airlines and may result in penalty fees to the University.)
How can I view or edit my reservation if it was made directly with Anderson Travel?
Under "View Itineraries" click on "All Itineraries" Enter the record locator in the box to the left of "Trip Locator" then click on "Import".(You can get the record locator from your Anderson Travel booking agent, or by looking at the top right side of your itinerary - example: PNR: 1P8WH5ZZ)
