In an effort to make the travel process at MSU easier for you, we want to ensure all information related to traveling for Michigan State University is accessible from one place. Therefore, Conlin Travel’s travelatstate.com will now be redirected to MSU’s travel.msu.edu.

New Travel Restriction: Electronic Devices Banned on U.S. Bound Flights from 10 Specific Airports

Impacted Airports: Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Cairo International Airport (CAI), Ataturk International Airport (IST), King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (JED), King Khalid International Airport (RUH), Kuwait International Airport (KWI), Mohammed V Airport (CMN), Hamad International Airport (DOH), Dubai International Airport (DXB), and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).

Electronic devices larger than a cell phone/smart phone will not be allowed to be carried onboard the aircraft in carry-on luggage or other accessible property. Electronic devices that exceed this size limit must be secured in checked luggage. Necessary medical devices will be allowed to remain in a passenger’s possession after they are screened.

There is no impact on domestic flights in the United States or flights departing the United States. Electronic devices will continue to be allowed on all flights originating in the United States.

Resources Relating to Executive Order Suspending Entry into the U.S. of Individuals from 6 countries

A Hawaii federal judge on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 blocked President Trump’s latest version of an immigration ban prohibiting the entry of people from six Muslim-majority countries from taking effect nationwide. On Thursday, March 17, 2017 another federal judge in Maryland issued a similar ruling that also blocked the ban on entry for people from the six countries.
